The engineer who builds bridges
not just systems
A multidisciplinary professional whose career has evolved from shipyard electrical installations to leading digital transformation — while never leaving the shipbuilding industry.
Professional Biography
I am Suji Kumar C, currently serving as Manager – IT and CNC Operations at Shoft Shipyard Private Limited in Gujarat, India. My engineering journey began in 2012 as an Electrical Engineer, installing power systems, NAVCOM equipment, and onboard electrical infrastructure on live vessels.
Over 13+ years, I progressed through Production Engineering, where I coordinated CNC cutting, fabrication, and outfitting operations — then into IT, where I discovered that the greatest engineering challenge wasn't the machines, but the systems that run them.
Today, I lead the entire digital and operational technology stack of a growing shipyard — from architecting custom ERP applications on Zoho Creator, to managing enterprise networks, servers, surveillance systems, and CNC plasma production intelligence platforms.
My philosophy is simple: technology should make complex operations feel simple. I don't just deploy software — I understand the operational context deeply enough to build systems that engineers, managers, and workers actually want to use.
